Arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada from your gateway city. While spending a few days adjusting to time zone changes, enjoy premiere shows and fine dining in the entertainment capitol of the world. Experience the lights of Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street.
Day 1. Depart Las Vegas. Visit Historic La Posada Hotel, Winslow Arizona, and the Petrified Forest National Park and the Painted Desert.
Day 2. Visit Zuni and Laguna Pueblos. Zuni are noted for their turquoise and inlay silver jewelry. See painted murals in the Zuni Mission Church. Shop authentic Native American jewelry, pottery and weaving’s at the Perry Null Trading Company.
Day 3. Visit 800 year old Acoma, Sky City where a Mission church, adobe and log buildings, kivas, and adobe mud ovens are located atop a 365 foot Mesa.
Day 4. Visit Albuquerque Old Town, Indian Pueblo Cultural Center and Maxwell Museum
Day 5. Visit San Ildefonso and Santa Clara Pueblos, each listed on the National Register of Historic Places. San Ildefonso Pueblo was the home to noted pottery maker Maria Martinez. Santa Clara is home to potter Joseph Lonewolf. Visit studios and homes of Native potters and jewelry craftsmen.
Day 6. Visit Santa Fe, the oldest capitol city in the United States. Bordering the central plaza is the Palace of the Governors and the Cathedral Basilica of Saint Francis of Assisi. San Miguel Mission, the oldest church in United States is listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.
Day 7. Visit Taos, Taos Pueblo, Kit Carson Home and Museum. Designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site, Taos Pueblo is the largest surviving multi-story pueblo in the United States. Taos is also Listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks, and the National Register of Historic Places.
Day 8. Visit Las Vegas New Mexico
Day 10. Return to Las Vegas
