Mining Camps & Towns - 1 Day Experience

Journey back in time to the era of gold and silver mining in Nevada and Arizona. Mining in Nevada was king until the 1950’s. Nevada mining history dates to 1849.

Mormon pioneer settlers mined lead from 1856-1858 at Mount Potesi, at the south end of Spring Mountain Range. With population growth in Southern Nevada, industrial mining increased after WWII, for limestone, gypsum and aggregate.

Today, Nevada is the largest producer of gold in the United States, and its’ production places United States in the top four gold producing nations.
