Arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada from your gateway city. While you spend a few days adjusting to time zone changes, enjoy premiere shows and fine dining in the entertainment capitol of the world. Experience the lights of Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street.
Day 1. Depart Las Vegas for Grand Canyon National Park. Enjoy nostalgic stops along historic Route 66 in Seligman and Williams Arizona. Enjoy your leisure walk along the Grand Canyon rim, as you view the mighty Colorado River one mile below, and the setting sun illuminating the distant canyon wall.
Day 2. Grand Canyon National Park, visit the archaeological site of Tusayan Ruins and Museum, and Watch Tower designed by noted female architect Mary Jane Colter. Visit Tuba City on the Navajo reservation, and Moenkopi on the Hopi reservation.
Day 3. Visit Monument Valley and tour the Navajo Tribal Park with your Navajo guide. Photograph sandstone buttes and mesa’s that provided backdrops for John Wayne movies. Shop for Native American jewelry and crafts at John Ford Point.
Day 4. Tour Glen Canyon Dam, and visit the John Wesley Powell Museum. Take a scenic boat ride on Lake Powell, or scenic aerial flight over Glen Canyon National recreation Area. Hike to Horseshoe Bend on the Colorado River.
Day 5. Visit Zion National Park and enjoy a leisure walk along the Virgin River from the Temple of Sinawava to the Narrows. Photograph the Court of the Patriarchs, and the West Temple. The sandstone cliffs in Zion National Park are considered to have been among the tallest sand dunes in the world.
Day 6. Drive the scenic route to the Great Arch of Zion, the Zion Tunnel, and Checkerboard Mesa. Arrive at Bryce Canyon National Park and enjoy the scenic vistas from Rainbow Point, Ponderosa Point, Natural Bridge and Farview.
Day 7. Enjoy a morning walk along the rim between Bryce Point and Sunset Point. Photograph colorful hoodoos sculptured from the eroding limestone Claron Formation. Depart Bryce Canyon National Park for your return to Las Vegas.
