Arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada from your gateway city. While spending a few days adjusting to time zone changes, enjoy premiere shows and fine dining in the entertainment capitol of the world. Experience the lights of Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street.
Day 1. Depart Las Vegas for Southern Utah and Zion National Park. Photograph colorful sandstone cliffs, considered to have been among the tallest sand dunes in the world. Walk along the Virgin River to the Narrows.
Day 2. View the pink and orange hoodoos of Bryce Canyon National Park sculptured from the eroding limestone Claron Formation. Walk along the rim trail, or hike to the canyon below.
Day 3. Drive along Utah Scenic Highway 12 through the Grand Staircase-Escalante National Monument to Capitol Reef National Park. See rock art from the Fremont Culture.
Day 4. Hike among the sandstone arches in Arches National Park.
Day 5. View the mesas and buttes in Canyonlands National Park. This remote area on the Colorado Plateau was carved by the Colorado and Green Rivers.
Day 6. Experience a guided tour of Monument Valley Navajo Tribal Park with a Native American.
Day 7. View Lake Powell and the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area. Take a guided tour of Glen Canyon Dam.
Day 8. Walk the rim to scenic overlooks of the Grand Canyon. Learn about the 2.4 billion years of geologic history of the Colorado Plateau, and the Colorado River one-mile below.
Day 9. View the morning sunrise along the rim, and enjoy the vista along the Point Imperial to Cape Royal scenic drive before departing the Grand Canyon for Las Vegas.
