Sample Itinerary

Day 1. Departing Las Vegas you’ll see Historic Hoover Dam, and Lake Mead, the largest man-made reservoir in North America. Arriving at Grand Canyon National Park you can walk along the rim trail, viewing the mighty Colorado River one mile below. Before dinner, experience the setting sun on the distant canyon wall.

Day 2. Photograph canyon walls and the Colorado River from Grandview and Desert View before driving to Flagstaff.

Day 3. Visit the Museum of Northern Arizona, a repository for Native American history and artifacts of the Colorado Plateau. Walk among cliff dwellings occupied and abandoned by Sinagua, the ancient civilization in Walnut Canyon National Monument.

Day 4. Touch fossils, stone remnants of a standing forest about 225 million years ago. The Petrified Forest National Park and Painted Desert protect this colorful landscape.

Day 5. Experience a narrated guided walk along the rim of Meteor Crater the largest meteorite impact center in the United States.
