Grand Canyon was protected as a Forest Reserve in 1893, and then elevated to Grand Canyon National Park in 1919. The Grand Canyon is one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World, and is a UNESCO World Heritage Natural Site.

Sample Itinerary

Arrive in Las Vegas, Nevada from your gateway city. While spending a few days adjusting to time zone changes, enjoy premiere shows and fine dining in the entertainment capitol of the world. Experience the lights of Las Vegas Strip and Fremont Street.

Day 1. Depart Las Vegas for Grand Canyon National Park. Enjoy nostalgic stops along historic Route 66 in Kingman, Seligman and Williams Arizona. Enjoy your leisure walk along the Grand Canyon rim, as you view the Colorado River one mile below. Before dinner, experience the setting sun on the distant canyon wall.

Day 2. Photograph Grand Canyon from Grandview, Moran Point and Desert View. Visit the archaeological site of Tusayan Ruins and Museum, and Watch Tower designed by noted female architect Mary Jane Colter. Return to Las Vegas.
